With over 30 years of success in complex litigation, Elizabeth Parmer is Fort Worth’s foremost authority in divorce and family law. Together, their litigation leadership transforms risk into strategic advantage, representing entrepreneurs, executives, professional athletes, and individuals with sophisticated assets and estates in divorce cases where the courtroom is the only option.
Launching her career as a personal injury attorney, Elizabeth gained invaluable jury trial experience under the mentorship of some of the state’s most formidable trial lawyers. Her distinguished academic journey began at the esteemed Yale University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with Honors. She then went on to complete her Juris Doctorate at the University of Texas in 1992, where she was awarded the prestigious American Jurisprudence Award for Legislation and Conflicts of Law. Within just two months of starting her career, she successfully completed her first jury trial, an early milestone marking the beginning of her renowned litigation career and her leadership in the legal industry.
Born into a legacy of public service, Elizabeth’s Fort Worth roots run deep. As the daughter of Hugh Parmer, former mayor, state senator, and a globally respected political strategist, she was shaped by a front-row seat to leadership, diplomacy, and the civic forces that influence both local and global communities
Elizabeth lives with her husband, James Hinkle, the renowned artist and Hall of Fame guitarist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with James, their daughter Claire Hinkle, an emerging young artist earning distinction on the national music stage, and their two beloved pit bull mix rescue dogs.
