Why Choose Our Fort Worth Personal Injury Attorneys
When you're picking a lawyer, you want to know who you're hiring and what they bring to the table.
Here's what you can expect:
- Award-winning attorneys: Our attorneys have been recognized by Super Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in America®, 360 West Top Attorneys, and Fort Worth Magazine's Top Attorneys in Texas.
- Trial-ready: We prepare every case as if it's going to court. Insurance companies know the difference between lawyers who settle and lawyers who will try the case.
- Local know-how: We know Fort Worth's busy highways, its construction zones, and the Tarrant County courts. We also work with local accident experts and doctors.
- Direct communication: You talk to your attorneys, not just an assistant, and you get regular updates.
- Board-certified in Family Law: Our firm includes Dana Manry, who is certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Fewer than 1% of Texas attorneys hold this honor. It takes at least five years of practice, references from peers and judges, 60 hours of continuing education, and a tough full-day exam.

Personal Injury Cases We Handle
Texas law says you can seek payment when someone else's carelessness hurts you.
Here are the kinds of cases we take:
- Car accidents: Fort Worth drivers deal with heavy traffic and fast-moving highways every day, including I-35W, I-30, I-20, and Loop 820. A crash can leave you with serious injuries, a damaged vehicle, and an insurance adjuster calling before you've even left the hospital. Read our car accident guide to learn more.
- Truck accidents: Big rigs cause some of the most serious crashes on Texas roads. These cases often involve federal trucking rules and more than one responsible company, such as the driver, the carrier, or the company that loaded the truck.
- Pedestrian accidents: People walking or crossing the street have little protection when a car hits them. These crashes often lead to broken bones, head injuries, and long recoveries, and we help you go after the driver who didn't pay attention.
- Construction accidents: Falls, equipment failures, and falling objects can change a worker's life in seconds. We look at who was responsible for keeping the site safe, including contractors, property owners, and equipment manufacturers.
- Medical malpractice: Sometimes a doctor, nurse, or hospital makes a mistake that causes real harm, like a missed diagnosis or a surgical error. These claims follow Chapter 74 of the Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code, which has strict rules and requires expert support.
- Workplace injuries: If you got hurt on the job, you may have options beyond a standard workers' compensation claim. This includes claims against employers who don't carry workers' compensation.
- Product liability: Products such as tools, car parts, and household items are expected to be safe. If a defective design, a manufacturing mistake, or a missing warning caused your injury, the company that made or sold it may be responsible.
- Premises liability: Property owners must keep their spaces reasonably safe. If you were hurt in a slip-and-fall, in a poorly lit parking lot, or in a store with a dangerous hazard, the owner may be responsible.
- Dog bites: A dog attack can cause deep wounds, infections, scarring, and lingering fear long after the bite heals. We help victims seek payment for medical bills, recovery time, and the emotional toll.
- Wrongful death: Losing someone you love because of another person's carelessness is devastating. A spouse, child, or parent may sue under Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code § 71.004, and we handle the legal side so your family can focus on each other.
No matter how your injury occurred, our team is ready to review your case and explain your options.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the statute of limitations for personal injury in Texas?
In most cases, you have two years from the date you were hurt to file a lawsuit. That rule is in Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code § 16.003(a). Wrongful death claims have the same two-year limit under § 16.003(b).
There are some exceptions. A child's deadline is paused until they turn 18 under § 16.001. Medical malpractice claims have their own two-year rule under § 74.251. If your claim is against a city, county, or other government, you must give formal notice within six months under § 101.101, and some city rules are even shorter.
Because these exceptions are narrow, it's best to talk to a lawyer as soon as you can.
What should I do after an accident in Tarrant County?
What you do in the first hours and days can affect your claim. Here are the steps to take:
- Call 911 and get medical care. Texas Transportation Code § 550.021 requires drivers in injury crashes to stop and help. Getting checked out right away also creates a record of your injuries.
- Make sure a police report is filed. Under Texas Transportation Code § 550.026, crashes with injuries, deaths, or major damage must be reported. Ask for the report number from Fort Worth Police, the Tarrant County Sheriff, or Texas DPS.
- Swap information. Under Texas Transportation Code § 550.023, drivers must share names, addresses, license plate numbers, and insurance details.
- Take photos and notes. Capture the vehicles, your injuries, the road, and any signs. Get contact info from witnesses.
- Be careful with insurance companies. Tell your own insurer about the crash. Don't give a recorded statement to the other driver's insurer, and don't accept a fast offer before talking to a lawyer.
- Call a Fort Worth personal injury lawyer. Evidence like security video and vehicle data can disappear quickly, so early help matters.
How do contingency fees work in Texas?
With a contingency fee, you don't pay attorney's fees unless we win money for you. Under Texas Disciplinary Rule of Professional Conduct 1.04(d), it is stated that this agreement must be in writing and explain how the fee is figured, including the percentages if your case is settled, goes to trial, or is appealed.
We believe you should never be surprised by what a law firm charges. Before we begin, we'll put the fee agreement in writing and walk you through it in plain language. It will explain what percentage we take, how that percentage could change if your case settles, goes to trial, or is appealed, and how case costs, such as filing fees, expert fees, and records fees, are handled. We'll answer every question you have before you sign anything.
Our fee is a percentage of what we recover, so we're invested in getting you the best result we can. When your case ends, you’ll know exactly what was recovered, what was paid in fees and costs, and what you take home.

"I highly recommend him and his staff. They are courteous, prompt and they care."I called in inquiring about a divorce and how it all happens. I had 2 people call me back within an hour and in an hour maybe 2 I was talking with the lawyer. I highly recommend him and his staff. They are courteous, prompt and they care. Divorce is the hardest thing we will go through minus losing a kid and his team will be retained. He even called me back himself the next day to see how I was. Great service.- Bobby N.
