This was a very pleasant experience. Sadly, I had to get custody of my granddaughter to keep her out of harm's way or being taken by CPS because my daughter just is not ready to calm down. I contacted The Law Firm, and they listened to every need, they have listened to me cry, they have listened as I panicked, and they have heard me now with tears of joy! Two days ago, I was awarded Sole Managing Conservator over my granddaughter, and that was not easy. In my county, if there is no father and you have no idea who it is, you have to go through so many processes to prove that. They got me through it, so it took a few more months than I expected, but poor Mark Childress had to talk me down when I would panic. Ha Ha, he was amazing. (Trust me, he is not paid to listen to this, but his heart could not let me feel worried.) I wonder if I drove him crazy. He would tell me Rick Mitchell (my attorney) had it all under control, but if you know me, I want the head of the household, and it says The Law Firm of Mark Childress, so I always called him as well. Thank you so much, Mark, for putting up with me. Thahn, you were so calming.. when you would send my emails for Clio, you explained everything, and to see you as excited as me warmed my heart. Another attorney, Haylie, chimed in, and she was amazing as well. As far as PAYMENT.. what a fair price this was to have my granddaughter and keep her out of harm's way. I would not have found anyone cheaper than them. I looked into a lot of attorneys before I hired them. They deserve more than 5 stars!! They care, they called my granddaughter by her name, they even would ask how my daughter was doing because they knew this was difficult for me and that I was worried about her. I am a big baby crying right now as I feel like we may never talk again... but you better block me, Mark, because I will be sending pictures and updates on how we are all doing, including momma. Wow! I am so impressed with this firm and their team. I had for the second time taken my ex-husband to court in an attempt to terminate his rights to our children. My attorney at that time was a disaster and made my situation worse. I nonsuited that case and dropped him as my attorney, but he had left me a mess to deal with in the court system. I reached out to the Law Offices of Mark M. Childress and am so thankful I did! I first had the pleasure of having a consultation with Desiree Hartwigsen. She truly listened to me. She let me go on and on explaining everything, and when I was finally quiet I wasn't sure if she had gathered anything in my rant. She did! She repeated every one of my concerns and validated that my feelings were true and correct. Within the hour of hiring them, they had sent my previous attorney an email requesting my records and letting him know he had incorrectly filed motions in court. They also understood the terrible financial situation my previous attorney had put me in and that I need to recover. I will be hiring them again soon to finish the job. Marissa fights a good fight Jun 23, 2022

My lawyer, Melissa Hernandez, has been fighting a good fight for me. All kinds of crazy accusations were made that made me lose rights temporarily. Melissa was able to really grill my daughter's mom on the bench and break her down to where a lot of truths came out. Now I have partial unsupervised visits, and hopefully in trial that will be done away with too. Child support of $600 for one kid is ridiculously high, but I believe Melissa will continue to fight for me to get it down to something more fair. She is awesome in court and does not sweat the other side at all. She just makes her plays and shoots straight. Thanks for what you’ve done so far, my only complaint I would say is that I’m $10k in and haven’t even got to trial yet, but the firm is working with me on that. I will let you guys know how it turns out.
